Can Crusher Ratings is an MMA Rating/Ranking System. The system is explained in a series of posts here:
- Explaining the Rating System (I)
- Explaining the Rating System (II)
- Explaining the Rating System (III)
- Explaining the Rating System (IV)
Full ratings are updated each Monday, but event recaps may be posted soon after the event is over.
Fighters with ratings greater than 45 points (35 points for women) are ranked, and those with ratings greater than 60 points (50 points for women) are listed in their respective division pages. The others (including inactive fighters) simply have a rank of "NR".
Feel free to ask questions here.
What happens to a fighter's rating when inactive?
ReplyDeleteTheir rating is calculated the same way, so nothing really changes. However, the scale is set at #100 ranked fighter = 75 points, which means that inactive fighters can lose points as everyone else gets better.
DeleteFor example, Fedor was at 80 points when he was last ranked at the end of 2013, and right now he's at 78.5 points (which would put him in the top ten at heavyweight), so he lost 1.5 points in 1.5 years.
